Catholic Health Patients Affected by Serviceaide Data Breach: Personal and Health Information Exposed

A recent data breach at Serviceaide, Inc. has compromised the sensitive personal and health information of Catholic Health patients. The breach has raised serious concerns about the safety of data stored with third-party service providers.

Serviceaide discovered the breach on November 15, 2024, when it found unauthorized access to a database linked to Catholic Health. The company immediately began an investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts. It was later revealed that patient data was exposed online between September 19 and November 5, 2024.

After a detailed review, Serviceaide confirmed on March 20, 2025, that sensitive information was involved. The data may include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical record numbers, account numbers, health and treatment details, insurance information, provider details, and even usernames and passwords.

On May 9, 2025, Serviceaide informed the Vermont Attorney General about the breach and began sending notification letters to affected individuals.

Data breaches like this can lead to identity theft, fraud, and other serious problems. Companies that fail to protect personal information may be held legally responsible for any damage caused.

If you're a Catholic Health patient and received a letter from Serviceaide dated May 9, 2025, your information may have been exposed. You may be entitled to compensation.
