PNP ACG Arrests 369 People for Cybercrimes in Early 2025

The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) arrested 369 people for cybercrimes in the first quarter of 2025.

According to a statement released on Tuesday night, the arrests were made during 360 police operations carried out from January to March 2025.

The suspects were allegedly involved in crimes such as selling registered SIM cards and using illegal devices like text blast machines and IMSI catchers.

In a separate update, the PNP ACG reported a 39% drop in voyeurism cases this year. From January 1 to May 1, 2025, there were 86 cases recorded, compared to 141 cases during the same period in 2024.

The police credited the decrease to public awareness campaigns about the dangers of sharing private photos and videos online.

“These efforts have helped reduce cybercrimes, especially photo and video voyeurism, by making people more aware of the risks,” the PNP ACG said.
