According to authorities, the arrested individuals were involved in a total of 313 cybercrime cases across the country. The frauds covered a wide range of scams, including online stock trading, fake investment schemes, FedEx parcel scams, OTP and credit card frauds, as well as customer care impersonation and other fraudulent activities.
Officials emphasized the importance of prompt reporting. “If victims report the fraud immediately, there is a good chance of recovering at least part of the lost money,” said a senior official.
Citizens who fall victim to cybercrime can report incidents through the dedicated helpline number 1930 or via the official website cybercrime.gov.in.
