According to Hürriyet Daily News, Adidas Turkey reached out to customers whose data may have been exposed. The stolen information includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and other personal details. The breach appears to be linked to customer service systems.
Adidas has not revealed how many customers were affected or the type of cyberattack used. However, the company emphasized that no financial information or credit card details were leaked.
Earlier, on May 16, Adidas Korea reported a similar breach. Like in Turkey, the hackers accessed customer service data, suggesting a broader issue within Adidas's regional systems.
While no payment details were taken, the loss of personal data still poses serious risks. Cybercriminals can use this information for identity theft or phishing scams. These scams often involve pretending to be trusted companies to trick people into sharing more sensitive data or making fake payments.
Adidas has not yet shared more details about how the attacks happened or what steps it's taking to improve its cybersecurity.
